Book Covers

I can't decide whether I would like these as much in person. I think they are kind of dependent on see both covers with the dirty spine in the middle. hmm.

Ampersand Love

Ampersand Love
a blog.

Speaking of love. I love periods. I'd create a blog devoted to them, but unfortunately they are not actually that interesting to look at. And yet somehow I love them. I often times feel very intentional about my decision to use a period but I don't think my calculated use is read the same way it was written.

Jose Parla

Jose Parla
grunge.

I'm attracted to the complex, grunge texture and repetitive abstract lettering, but some of Jose Parla's pieces make me a little uncomfortable. I'm reminded a little too strongly of unattractive (*personal opinion), random, tagging.

SheOne

SheOne
Watch it in a hipster coffee shop.

I think I'm more fascinated by watching SheOne work than I am by the final product. I love how he uses the paint can as his brush (spray, drag, brash, splatter. cool.) Also, I watched this video without the audio, in a coffee shop, with awesome indie music in the background. I could have been significantly influenced by that. You can see him working on a piece at the beginning of the video, the 3:30 mark, 4:55, and

Prepare for an onslaught of posts

I blame my tardy postings on Google. I got sidetracked by Google Reader. This RSS feed reader thing is pretty neat-o. (yeah, I know I'm incredibly tardy in discovering this.) I got sucked into the reader, tagging things I like. And then it happened. Google stopped working! What!?! I have no idea what was goig on, but for three or four days, I had no access to my reader...or the google search engine. I was boucing between Alta Vista, Yahoo and Dogpile. Lame Sauce.

Google Reader returned (after I finally committed to closing all of my browser windows and restarting my computer.) with thousands of posts for me to sit through. Yuck.

Alright, prepare yourselves for the onslaught of posts I intend to make.
